E.S.P., originally released in 1965, is the album that introduced Miles Davis’ Second Great Quintet, one of the most important and influential line-ups in jazz history. The album consists entirely of original compositions, with Wayne Shorter contributing the title track, “E.S.P.”, while Herbie Hancock, Ron Carter, Tony Williams and Miles Davis each bring their own material.
