To mark the centenary of Eddie 'Lockjaw' Davis, Craft Recordings is celebrating his music with the sumptuous box set 'Cookin' with Jaws and the Queen: The Legendary Prestige Cookbook Albums'. This edition includes the albums Cookbook, Vol. 1 (1958), Cookbook, Vol. 2 (1958), Cookbook, Vol. 3 (1960) and Smokin' (1964), released on Prestige Records and recorded by legendary sound engineer Rudy Van Gelder.
The recordings have been remastered from the original tapes by Bernie Grundman.
The detailed booklet contains photos of the recording sessions and an essay by journalist Willard Jenkins.
