Anne-Sophie Mutter / Herbert von Karajan - The Solo Concertos (5LP Box set)

Anne-Sophie Mutter, one of the greatest violinists of our time, will celebrate her 60th birthday on 29 June 2023. Deutsche Grammophon will celebrate this wonderful artist with a vinyl box featuring iconic recordings from her early years.

This limited and numbered Vinyl Edition includes the complete Violin Concerto recordings of Anne-Sophie Mutter and Herbert von Karajan for Deutsche Grammophon on 5 LPs – some of them haven’t been available on vinyl for two decades. Content ranges from Mutter’s 1978 DG debut album with Mozart’s 3rd and 5th Concertos to the Concertos from Beethoven, Mendelssohn, Bruch and Brahms, all with Berliner Philharmoniker, including also Mutter’s and Karajan’s 1988 interpretation of the Tchaikovsky Concerto with the Wiener Philharmoniker which was Mutter’s and Karajan’s very last cooperation before the Maestro’s death. All recordings have been constantly big commercial successes on all configurations.
The LPs are manufactured at optimal media on 180g Vinyl. The set includes a 16-page inlay with track listings, new liner notes by Dorothea Walchshäusl, photos and facsimiles of the recording documentation.
